Short Morning Prayer

Father, I come before You this morning with a grateful heart, lifting my eyes to You before the day pulls my attention in a hundred directions. Thank You for the gift of this new day, for the breath in my lungs, and for Your mercies that are new every morning. I cannot face what lies ahead in my own strength, so I ask You now: guide my steps today. Give me wisdom to know the right path when I stand at crossroads. Steady my mind when confusion threatens. Calm my anxious thoughts with the truth of Your Word and the certainty of Your presence. I thank You for every way You've already carried me—for answered prayers and for the ones You've wisely delayed or redirected. I'm grateful for the hard seasons that have strengthened my faith and the gentle seasons that have restored my soul. As I move into this day, clothe me with Your strength. Not my weak, human effort, but the supernatural strength that comes from knowing I am not alone. Help me to work as unto You, to speak with kindness, to listen with patience, and to reflect Your character in all I do. Lord, I surrender this day to You. Whatever comes, I trust You are sovereign and good. In Jesus' name, Amen.
