Is this really free?

The sample text is free and needs no card and no account. The Sunday run is also free, four verses and then it stops, but it does ask for a card on file before it starts and none of those four verses are charged. The daily service is a paid subscription at $5.95 a month after a 7-day free trial.

What number can I use?

US mobile numbers only. If you enter a landline or a number from outside the US, the form tells you right away instead of quietly failing.
