Prayer for the Nation

Almighty God, I come before Thee with a burdened heart for this nation. Thou hast established the foundations of our land, and we confess our desperate need of Thy wisdom and mercy. We have strayed from righteousness, and our divisions run deep—between neighbor and neighbor, community and community. Yet Thou art not far from us, and Thy compassion fails not. I pray for our leaders: grant them fear of the Lord and humble hearts that seek justice, not personal gain. Guide their decisions with Thy Spirit. I intercede for those who suffer injustice, that they would find their refuge in Thee and see Thy vindication. Heal the wounds of bitterness and hatred that tear at our fabric. Give us courage to stand for truth and compassion. Soften our hardened hearts toward those different from us. Help us to see Christ's image in one another and to love our neighbors as ourselves. Root out corruption, greed, and the lust for power that poison our institutions. Lord, we cannot heal ourselves. We need Thy peace—not the shallow peace of compromise, but the deep peace that flows from genuine repentance and reconciliation. Let revival begin in the hearts of believers, that we might be salt and light in our communities. Restore justice like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. In Jesus' name, Amen.
