Prayer for Healing

O God, my Father, I come before Thee today with a heart heavy with pain, yet anchored in faith. Thou art the God who healeth, the Great Physician whose touch restores what brokenness has taken. I lay before Thee this body, this mind, this spirit—all that suffers—and I ask Thee to work Thy mighty hand in my healing. I confess that I do not always understand why suffering comes, yet I trust that Thou art sovereign and good. Give me the grace to surrender my will to Thine, knowing that Thy purposes are perfect even when my circumstances are not. Strengthen me in these difficult days. Calm my anxious thoughts and replace them with Thy peace that passeth all understanding. I ask for wisdom for those who care for me and minister to my healing. Guide their hands and minds. And Lord, teach me through this trial. Draw me closer to Thyself. Let me feel Thy presence, not in the absence of pain, but dwelling with me within it. Whether Thou dost choose to heal me suddenly or gradually, help me to trust in Thy timing. I believe that Thou canst do all things, and I cast my cares upon Thee, for Thou carest for me. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
