Prayer for Children

Father in heaven, I come before Thee with a grateful heart for the children Thou hast entrusted to my care. Grant me wisdom to guide them in the way they should go—not by force or fear, but by love and example. Shield them from the dangers of this world, both seen and unseen. Protect their innocent hearts from evil influences, and anchor their minds in truth. Help me to speak words of encouragement that build their faith and confidence in Thee. Give me patience when I am weary, discernment when I am confused, and a steadfast love that mirrors Thy faithfulness. I pray that their childhood would be marked by security, joy, and a growing knowledge of Thy goodness. As they grow, plant seeds of righteousness deep within their souls—seeds that will flourish into a lasting relationship with Jesus. Guard their steps, Lord. Surround them with godly influences and mentors. When they stumble, lift them up with grace. When they struggle, remind them that Thou art near. May they grow in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man. Finally, Father, strengthen me to be the parent, guardian, or influence they need—humble enough to admit my mistakes, brave enough to teach them truth, and loving enough to show them what Thy kingdom looks like.
