Prayer for a Broken Heart

Father, my heart is broken, and I bring this pain to You because I have nowhere else to turn. The weight of this loss presses down on me, and some days I wonder if the ache will ever ease. Yet I come before You not because I have strength, but because You are the God of all comfort, and Your mercies are new every morning. Heal me, Lord. Not all at once—I know true healing takes time—but heal me gradually, day by day. Help me to feel Your presence in the hollow places where joy once lived. When I'm tempted to believe that this pain defines my future, remind me that You are sovereign over all things, and even this broken season serves a purpose in Your hands. Give me grace to grieve without bitterness. Help me to honor what was lost while remaining open to what You will yet do in my life. Strengthen my faith when it wavers. Surround me with Your peace, the kind that doesn't make sense but guards my heart against despair. Teach me that brokenness isn't the end of my story—it's where Your restoration begins. I trust You, though it's hard. I believe You see me in this valley, and You will lead me to higher ground. In Your name, I pray. Amen.
