Is Lindsay Lohan Catholic?
Lindsay Lohan is an American actress, songwriter, businesswoman, and fashion designer known for her roles in hit films like Mean Girls, Freaky Friday, and The Parent Trap. As of 2021, Lohan is 36 years old.
When it comes to her religious beliefs, the answer to “Is Lindsay Lohan Catholic?” is not as simple as a yes or no answer. While it is unclear whether the actress currently identifies as a practicing Catholic, there is evidence to suggest that she was raised in the Catholic faith and likely at least identifies as Catholic today.
Lohan, who was born in New York City, was raised in the Catholic faith, attending Cold Spring Harbor’s Cold Spring Elementary School, a Catholic institution. Furthermore, the actress’s grandparents, who immigrated to the United States from Ireland and England, were Catholic, which means that the religion was likely significant within the Lohan family.
While it is unclear if Lohan currently practices the Catholic faith, the actress has made a few public comments that suggest that she at least identifies as Catholic today. In an interview with W Magazine in 2018, Lohan said, “I am very spiritual in many different ways. I love to read the Bible and I am Catholic.”
Additionally, in a 2017 interview with Good Morning Britain, Lohan was asked about her thoughts on Catholicism and gave a vague answer that suggested the religion is still a part of her life. She stated, “I guess I never strayed away from my faith. I just think, sort of, whatever works in the moment and whatever’s kind of guiding you at the time—that’s what I believe in.”
Although the answer to “Is Lindsay Lohan Catholic?” is somewhat ambiguous, it appears that the actress was raised in the faith and possibly still identifies as a Catholic today. Whether or not the actress is a practicing Catholic is less clear, but it seems that she has at least maintained some connection to her Catholic roots.
