Many people struggle with their Christian faith, especially when they’re just getting started.
Many people that grow up with the Church accept it when they’re children. But as they get older, they begin to question everything. Teens question their choices, their identity and who they want to become. So it’s only natural that they will also question their religion and God.
We’ve found that the best way to continue believing in God, is by constant exposure and no judgement. That’s why a daily text message, which seems really small, can have such a large impact on their lives.

How To Keep Teens Believing In God
1) Don’t Judge or Force Them
The things that you repress in life, always come back to haunt or hurt you.
While you may want to express anger at a teen for not belieiving in God, understand that this is natural. You may even be able to think of some times in your life where your faith in God has been challenged.
Have you always believed? Did you too maybe go through some tough times as a teen?
2) Show Them The Way
Share with them what your faith means to you, as an adult who was once in their shoes.
Share important Bible verses and scripture with them.
3) Ask Questions
This aligns with removing any judgement.
But by asking your teen questions, you’ll be better able to understand their unique perspective. Maybe they’re asking themselves questions that you can easily answer?
Questioning your faith in your teen years is competely normal.
By asking questions, we can help to remove stigmas around it.
This leads to fostering more trust in the long run.
4) Listen And Love Them Anyways
There’s a reason that they’re questioning their faith right now.
Maybe a life event occurred and they’re wondering how a true God that is all powerful could exist?
Maybe a bad thing happened to a good person and they don’t know how God allowed that to happen.
Wrapping Things Up
We’ve found that the best way to encourage your teen to continue on the path of Christ, is by sharing the word of the Bible with them.
At Bible Hint, we do that every single day.
We send text messages to our customers, and this deepens their faith. Those customers who question their faith, are encouraged by the words in the Bible.
We live in a technology driven world.
As opposed to fighting it, we instead use it to help spread the word of God.
