Benefits and Suggestions for Studying the King James Version Bible

I have fond childhood memories of my mother’s coffee table Bible. I remember the soft padded cover, delicate paper-thin pages, and crimson ribbons that hung from its twenty-inch-long spine. As a small child, I can recall trying to lift it from that table to the couch and being aware of the heaviness within my little hands. Just like my mother’s beloved King James Version of the Bible, I am reminded of the holy weight that God’s Word has in my own life.

Looking back, it was a little bit of scripture every day that made me who I am today.

With over five hundred English translations of the Bible available today, it’s no wonder why so many of us get overwhelmed with which one to choose and where to start. However, because most of us grew up studying, hearing, and learning from the King James version, it is still a favorite translation today.

Which is why we chose to use the King James Version of the Bible with Bible Hint

Why is the King James Version so popular?

King James I of England first introduced the King James Version in 1611 and, today, still ranks in the top three best-selling translations.

With its distinguished language and style, this version is considered a highly esteemed piece of English literature. For those who want to stay true to the beginnings of God’s holy Word and its English language transcription, this translation is your best option.

The King James Version has become the golden standard in the US and in most places that practice Christianity across the world.

What is the best way to study the Bible?

Throughout the life of Jesus, He was consistently and eagerly redirecting humanity back to the Father.

Daily Portions

In Matthew 4:4, KJV, Jesus declares,

“It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

The important thing to take away from this verse is that just like the food we eat each day to nourish our bodies, the Word of God is the daily bread of our soul, mind, and heart. Therefore, to flourish in our spiritual lives with the Father, it is vital that we commit to reading and studying the scriptures each day.

Every day, reading a Bible Verse can have a lasting impact and tie you together to God for eternity.

An excellent way to get in the habit of daily study is to set your alarm thirty minutes early each morning and dedicate the first portion of your day to spending time with God. Not only will this help you establish an intentional routine, but your relationship with Him will flourish as you abide in the vine of Christ.

Study and Apply, Every Day

Studying the Word of God is essential for our Christian walk. It strengthens us, challenges us, and transforms us as disciples of Christ.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished, unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17, KJV

With digital resources and online tools evolving more and more each day, studying the Bible has never been easier. That’s where Bible Hint – Daily Text Message Subscription comes in.

We have found for many of our devout followers that sitting down to read the Bible is more difficult than it used to be. People’s schedules are busy and it’s difficult to set apart time in our busy lives for Him. But just because something is difficult, doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t strive to do so. I personally have carved out time in my daily schedule to read the physical Bible. But on top of sitting and reading, we can use some modern day technologies to make it easier to continue learning from Him.

Another one of my favorite study tools is the YouVersion app. YouVersion offers many daily devotionals ranging from specific topics, individual book studies, and reading through the entire Bible. With attainable daily readings for the avid studier and busy tasker alike, it is the perfect resource for anyone desiring a deeper connection with the Father.

Many followers will use the YouVersion App, combined with the Bible Hint – Daily Text Message Subscription for maximum benefit.

As you draw near to Him through daily study in your King James Version Bible, remember that you are his Beloved. I pray that you feel His heartbeat as you study His love letter to you.
