Emotions In The Bible About Stress

What Are Bible Verses About Stress?

Stress is a common issue that affects many people in all areas of their lives. Whether it is at work, school, or in relationships, it can be hard to manage. Thankfully, the Bible has plenty of verses that provide guidance and wisdom when it comes to dealing with stress and anxiety. Here are some Bible verses about stress that can help you cope with tough times.

The first one is from Psalm 55:22 which states “Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.” This verse reminds us that we can take our worries and stress to God, and He will provide us with the strength and courage to face them. Instead of dwelling on our thoughts and worries, we can turn to God and give our burdens to Him to carry.

Another verse from the Book of Isaiah is Isaiah 26:3 which says “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” This verse tells us that if we keep our focus on God and trust in Him, then He will give us the strength and peace to handle our stress. We can place our faith in Him and rely on Him to help us through difficult times.

The Bible also tells us in Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” This verse encourages us to not worry, but to bring our concerns to God in prayer, and He will give us peace that surpasses all understanding. This peace will help us to cope with the stress and worries of life.

Finally, we can turn to Proverbs 16:20 which says “Whoever gives thought to the word will discover good, and blessed is he who trusts in the Lord.” This verse tells us that when we give our thoughts and worries to God, He will provide us with the guidance and wisdom we need to face our stress. It also encourages us to trust in Him, because He will bless us for doing so.

These are just a few of the many Bible verses about stress and anxiety. By finding the right verses and meditating on them, we can gain the strength, courage, peace, and wisdom to manage our stress and find the joy in life.
